For portal operators, brokers and yards

Anyone buying a used catamaran does not search on one portal but on many. Catamaran Radar brings that search together: we read the listings of the major boating portals and of many dealer sites, merge duplicate listings, calculate the costs up to ready-to-go and assess every model on the basis of documented evidence. The buyer ends up with a short list of suitable boats – and for every boat, the link back to the original listing.

That means: we do not sell boats and we do not compete for listings. We send prepared buyers to where the boat is offered. That is why we are looking to work with those who offer and build these boats.

For portal operators

The major boating portals are our most important source, and we want to work closely with them. What we offer:

  • Buyers who know what they want. Anyone who reaches your listing via Catamaran Radar has already checked model, budget and total cost. Every link carries a unique source identifier, so you can see these buyers in your statistics.
  • Clean source attribution. Every boat and every photo names your portal as the source and links to the original listing.
  • Considerate retrieval. We retrieve listings with fixed daily caps. Better still: via a feed or an interface that you authorise.
  • Clear boundaries. We do not run our own listings portal or a public listing search, do not maintain seller accounts and do not trade in contacts or data. On request, we remove individual listings or your entire portal within 24 hours.

For brokers and dealers

Good data sells boats. If your listings reach us complete and correct – engine hours, equipment, refit, location – the buyer sees your boat as it is. We invite brokers to share their stock with us directly, for example as a feed, and to point out errors in our data. We correct quickly and name your firm as the source.

For yards

Buyers ask about the model first: how does it sail, what changes between model years, what should you look out for? Our model pages answer this with evidence. Yards can contribute – with technical data, layout drawings, photos and information on model updates and service bulletins. Every image carries your photo credit, every detail names you as the source.

What a partnership does not change

Our assessment remains independent. No partner can buy a better ranking, a more favourable verdict or the omission of a risk. We take no commission on boat sales. Every boat is assessed by the same fixed rules – that is why buyers trust us, and therefore also the value for you.
